Christmas with my friend, Mimi, wouldn't be complete unless we 'fed the cows.'
We loaded up the ranch hands and headed to the pasture.
"Over the river and through the woods" seems an appropriate caption for this photo.
It appears there have been others here earlier in the day.
It was at this point the photographer did a face-plant into the windshield.
On the ranch, there are gates to be opened and gates to be closed.
That's what these little ones are used for.
When the temperature dips below freezing your nose off, you send a rugged ranch hand to do all the work.
A cute little pink navigator is also needed to guide the driver through the wilds of the ranch.
(If you look very closely, you might notice a survival item . . . and it's not the Presto Cooker.)
One never knows what might be enountered flying around.
Not the best photo of a Bald Eagle, but considering the photographer was in vehicle moving along about thirty miles per hour, she was lucky to have captured this.
At this point, you have been mislead about the purpose of this adventure.
t wasn't really to feed the cows.
It was to locate this less than twenty-four hour old baby calf and her mother, Sally Mae.
The baby calf's name is Christmas.
Along the way, these critters were spotted.
Spotted !
Literally and figuratively.
I think this ones name is Mary.
But you can call her whatever you wish.
Don't you just love this face ?
Three guesses about what this ones name is.
1.
2.
3.
Hey Dude, I Found Your Car !
And now for the complete cast of characters that made this evening complete.
Happy New Year's Eve from Mimi's Precious Grandkids !
