As we walk out limp away from the Algonquin for another adventure, we find Matilda being fed her morning snack.
Her snacks are imported from Japan. Can you say, "Spoiled Kitty Cat ?"

Our next destination is Ellis Island, and may I suggest that when you visit, be sure to ride the ferry from the "Joy-sey" side rather than the NYC side. (Fewer-Shorter-Lines will await you.)
This is the ferry we were SUPPOSED to have taken...
...but someone, whose name won't be mentioned, was stuck in security because he always seems to have a Swiss Army Knife in his possession. So, we missed the boat !
No worry. The ferries run about every twenty-five minutes.
Once on board, these are the views. . .
Looking back at the ferry station.
If you look closely, you can see King Kong hanging from one of those skyscrapers. For sure. You really can. I kid you not. See him ?
More of those tall, tall buildings.
Maybe this is better zoomed in for a closer look.
Those cranes are at the site of the World Trade Center, and you can see the new building going up.
"Give me your tired, your poor huddled masses yearning to breathe free."
My dear friend, Angela...we are both Survivor Chicks.
Angela and Bill...their son, son-in-law, daughter, brother-in-law, and himself...are either New York City Policemen, New York City Firefighters, or Staten Island School Teachers...
This is where we are headed next.
Messsage from the Emergency Swampcast System:
We interrupt our regularly scheduled program, "The Sights, Sounds, and Smells of New York City to bring you this breaking news:
"The Sights, Sounds, and Smells of Grandkids Arriving for Thanksgiving."
Waiting. Waiting. Waiting in excited anticipation for my youngest daughter, her husband, and two children to emerge through those doors. Plus, I was checking my flash on the camera and the TSA agent didn't seem impressed.
So, I practiced my flash on this guy. (Takes after our other SiL with this particular pose.)
A bit blurry, but they are booking it through those doors.
Are we ready to have some fun, or what ?
Little Miss P, Baby Dub Ya, and a very proud Grandmother !
She has new luggage for this trip. No need to tell her after a few more flights, she'll need new ones because the airlines have a way of demolishing it.
Oh look. Someone installed the car seat backwards. (Backerds, as we say it in Southeastern Okrahoma.)
dos Hombres. As requested, our first stop after leaving the airport.
This one loves spicy, hot foods...
This one doesn't like the flash.
Time to eat...but stay tuned for our first of eight days together...
