Well, I woke up early Sunday morning just to make sure Mommy and Daddy weren't late for church. They didn't seem too happy about that, but it's my job to keep them on their toes. After breakfast, they put these clothes on me...new clothes from my Gamma and Gampa who live somewhere in a place called Texas. I thought I looked rather dapper in my dark blue slacks, cotton button-up blue shirt, and a v-neck sweater that had a pretty yellow stripe on it. But, those new black lace-up shoes had to go as evidenced in the photo below.
After church, we went to a place called The Egg and I. My cousin and her husband met us there for breakfast or lunch or something they call brunch. My cousin is sometimes called Swampy and her husband is called a lot of things, but mostly AnodeMan. Well, this AnodeMan guy kept putting eggs in my car seat while we waited to be seated. I held one up to my ear to see if it said anything, but it didn't.
Since it wouldn't talk to me, I decided to see what it tasted like.
It didn't taste anything like what I've eaten before, but it did turn my lips green which made people smile at me. Mommy and Cousin Swampy weren't too happy with AnodeMan because they were afraid the dye on the eggs would stain my new white vest, but don't worry, they put them back in the basket before that happened.
Once we were seated at the table, I let everyone there know that I wanted out of that car seat. It didn't take Mommy and Daddy long to get the message. AnodeMan seemed to be obsessed with these rainbow colored eggs because he kept handing them to me.
I think you can tell by the look on my face what my plan is.
Yup. It was funny watching AnodeMan have to bend over and pick up every egg that I dropped off the table. It was also funny to hear them crack when they hit the floor or when I whacked them on the table.
What is the deal with this guy ? He is certainly a character and a lot of fun.
Needless to say, my first Easter was a big hit. I hope you enjoyed meeting me because I enjoyed talking to all you people out there.
