"True friends are a sure refuge. " ---Aristotle
A friend believes in your dreams and cheers the loudest when they come true.
It is what we discover in each other on the journey of friendship that opens our eyes of understanding. By looking into the heart of a true friend, we see a reflection of ourselves...and we learn things only they can teach us.
Whether she's a friend you see often and can always count on, a friend you see not so often but can start right where you left off, or a brand-new friend you've just met...every day spent with a friend is a deposit into our "good memory" account.
Remember when happiness consisted of comfortable jeans, a cute T-shirt, a good friend, and a canceled gym class...or a skipped gym class? . . .
Happiness can be that simple now...with a good friend.
My friends were always honest with me . . . I never had to finish out the school day not knowing there was broccoli from lunch stuck in my teeth.
Seneca said, "One of the most beautiful qualities of true friendship is to understand and be understood."
Did you know that 'stressed' is 'desserts' spelled backwards? Friends share stress and friends share dessert. And friends never say, after you've eaten most of the dessert all by yourself, that it will look good on your bu++ tomorrow.
The best blush to use is laughter: It puts roses on your cheeks and in your soul. Laughter is best when shared with friends.
My friends have a way of shining a whole new light on things. . . I feel understood and encouraged all at once.

For those of you who told me you had never seen a blog before, now you have. Scroll down just a little and find the word "comments." If all goes as planned, you will find some profound statements by my Blogging Buddies who frequent this place. I take no responsibilty what you may find there, but believe me, what they say is much better than what you've read so far on this post. If you want to comment, just fill in a name, an e-mail (it is secure), and skip the URL. Type in your comment and hit post. It's just that simple. Then, if you really want to live on the edge, put your cursor on one of their names, click on it, and if they have a blog, just like magic, you have visited your second blog in one day. There you have it...Blogging 103.
P.S. Sometimes you can place your cursor on a photo and click it to make it larger.

A friend is someone who:
--- knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you've forgotten the words.
---thinks you are a good egg even though s/he knows you are slightly cracked.
---reaches for your hand and touches your heart.
Do you have any friend quotes, poems, limericks, or songs? Come on BlogBuds. Most of the gals pictured and who will visit today have never seen a blog, so show 'em how much fun this can be.
