Still suffering from a 'beach bum' atttitude . . . reposted from December 9, 2010:
It's time to relax and stop fretting over the holidays. And, if you're looking out the window at sub-freezing temperatures, (ok, so you can't SEE the temperature, but you can see what it does) wanting spring to be here soon, come along with me for just a few minutes.
I promise you won't regret it.
With just a little imagination, you can beam yourself along with me on this adventure on the Mayan Riviera.
Get those senses all fired up . . . feel the sand squoosh between your toes as the cool waves wrap around your ankles . . . listen to the palm branches sway back and forth in the gentle breeze . . . taste the salt and smell the fresh air . . . close you eyes and imagine you are here . . .
Oh. Wait.
Open you eyes !
Hello.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
You have to open you eyes to see these pictures.
Stop what you're doing and come on along with me as we walk the beach together.
Our journey will take us as far as you can see the sand in this photo.
Get those shoes off.
We are going barefoot.
This one had been stuck in the sand just a little too long.
Turtle art.
No. It's not a dead turtle.
Just a piece of wood that looks like one.
A closer look at the Turtle Art.
These critters make a lot of noise in the morning.
Do you see anything in the water ?
A Hermit Crab.
And he was headed . . .
. . . to higher ground.
We'll stop here for a few minutes just to enjoy the view .
So many tiny shells camouflaged in the sand . . . between the bubbles.
No telling what type of sea monster left these tracks . . .
H-m-m-m-m.
A little romanticism along the way.
Beach bum dog.
The beauty just seems to go on forever.
Well.
We made it.
That first photo was taken from the place as far as you can see the sand.
So, now we'll turn around and head back.
And I'll be quiet so you can enjoy the last half of our stroll together.
Wasn't the walk back quiet and relaxing ?
Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
Did you see treasure in one of the photos ?
It's there.
Hint: It's round and is in the last half of our walk.
Here is my first post about this place.
Here is my second post about this place.
And in a few days, I will post one more about this quaint spot on the Yucatan.

I did see some pretty impressive sand art.

AAh that was so relaxing...hopefully this time next month I will be posting pics of my feet in the sand. Us snowbirds are winding down here and gearing up for the warm south. Right after New years, we are outta the cold, fridgid north!!! Enjoy your warm vacation.

Swampy, you have no idea how much I needed that walk today...thank you.
My guess is that the treasure is in the photo above your feet, but today the treasure I am grateful I found was a moment of peace and a little bit of relaxation and just a few minutes of mental vacation...that is priceless.
