Cheetos, Pepsi, Enstrom's Toffee, etc. etc.

BECKIE at Give it a Try...One Day at a Time is hosting Fun Monday this week and has us munching on our favorite treats. Hop on one of my brooms, and see what other treats are in store for you.

I want to know what your favorite treat is. Is it sweet or sour? Is it plain or salty? Is it candy or chocolate? Is it homemade or store bought? For instance, if your favorite is chocolate, tell us what kind specifically - sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes not so much. I have heard a lot of talk about Junior Mints, but is it your favorite or just a tasty treat? It can be anything, popcorn, peanuts, ice cream or chips, maybe you have more than one favorite  - that is ok, just show us your favorite(s) and tell us why you like it so much. C'mon, what gets you all juiced up?

Well, here's a hint about my favorite "salty" treat:

You guessed it ! Cheetos ! Not those puffy kind, but these...

I love the way my fingers end up coated in orange and how delightful it is to lick it off. Then after consuming the entire bag, I wash it down with this ! Not that diet stuff either.

For my sweet tooth, here's the cure...

Some places are known for pecan pralines or salt water taffy or licorice, but Colorado's Candy Claim-to-Fame has to be Enstrom's Toffee.   A concoction started right here in Grand Junction, made of plump California almonds, sweet cream butter, pure cane sugar, and chocolate, chocolate, chocolate. It's not just for snacking. It's yummy sprinkled on ice cream or you can cook with this candy.

So, there you have it. Rub my belly and feed me my favorite treats, and I purr like a kitten.

How do you stay so thin eating cheetos?

They are one of my favorites as well, but are banded from the house. I've been known to eat these in my sleep. No I don't take Ambian but use to take something similar. That stuff makes you do crazy things.

I have never had the pleasure of Enstrom's toffee, but I sure like toffee.

Daddy D is making plans for us to view the meteor shower, which is not an easy feat with so much light pollution in our area.

BECKIE: Did your Chubby Hubby live here for any length of time and does he ever come back? He wouldn't recognize the place now.

MJD: Hope Daddy D has a good view. We saw about 7, then our necks gave out on us. The skies were beautiful and the Milky Way was really Milky. Speaking of Milky Way...that's one of my favorite treats.

WOLFBABY: Metabolism? What's that? My body has seem to forgotten. I can just look at food these days and gain weight. I do go on junk food binges but hit the gym when I do.

NEROLI: Ok, hand over the recipe for your sammiches. In our house, we called them "sanfins"...the little one who called them that is getting married a week from Saturday. While we were watching for shooting stars, I thought about all of us looking up at that same beautiful sky tonight. We also saw about 7 satellites.

KARMYNR: Yes, I have tried them. After having to douse my tongue with a liter of Pepsi, I decided they were pretty good.

SUSAN: OK, theHansMan is boxed up and will arrive COD on Wednesday. He likes bbq ribs, corn on the cob, and potatoes.

I must say, you are half a bubble off my favourites for the first two. Cheezies are Canadian, so I can't blame you their. Similar texture to Cheetos, slightly different flavour. I prefer Diet Coke to Pepsi.

Ben and Jerry's Chubby Hubby looks similar to Moose Tracks, which I adore.

I love pizza too.

It's got to be the crunchy Cheetos, for sure. I don't eat them often though because it drives me nuts the way they leave your fingers orange. When I do eat them, I have to have a wet paper towel and a dry paper towel to wash my fingers and then dry them before getting more.
