A Message from the Emergency Swampcast System...I did find a computer with a string and a can attached that's works quite well. Broadcasting this message from the Bluegrass State to say thanks for visiting and commenting yesterday.

In February, I posted The Lions' Club Parade. These guys and gals are having a rip-roarin' good time, but keep in mind their club has the single most profitable fundraiser in the World. Last year they raised $180,000. For more information, click on the above link.
Because my time for blogging is limited these days, I decided to share a few photos already on my computer from The Reverse Parade. Typepad is doing a wonderful job automatically posting for me...and will be the cases for about 2 weeks.
Put it in reverse...back it up...walk this way...and yes, this post is discombobulated (is that a word?) but so was the Reverse Parade.
In keeping with my RANDOM way of posting, this reverse parade is about as random as it gets. The pictures are as out of order as the participants were in these photos.
Strike up the band and come along for the fun.
If you'll notice on the parade route map above, the geometry 'formula' of "The Shortest Distance between Two Points is a Straight Line" was not used here.
In fact, theHansMan formula of the Longest Distance between two points is a Shortcut, seemed to be the rule of thumb for this parade.
Please notice how much larger our cheerleader is than the "Animal House-type" statue is.
A toast to Kevin and a t-shirt worn in his honor.
This post is dedicated to the memory of Kevin Wagner.

oh that burger king guy creeps me out.
(that commercial of waking up with him looking at the guy.. heeby jeebies)
Hey-- the pink bike with training wheels is probably worth a little blackmail money.

My son would freak if he saw the Giant Buzz Lightyear man.
Great pictures!

Dear swampy. Of course discombobulated is a word, firstly, firefox doesn't underline it in red (but funnily enough, firefox underlines firefox in red!) and secondly, if Blackadder said it, it must be true (it's in the dictionary episode in the third series). Great pictures, everyone certainly looks like they're having fun.

Swampy -
Just wanted to let you know that I am going thru a little scare myself. I have thought many times of your writings and I am going to go back thru your posts again this weekend to get some more strength. Thank you for sharing what you have.

Hey Swampy!
I sent you an email with some pictures today, including that long ago promised picture of the view out my front(back)door...I know it might be awhile before you get to it, but it'll be there.
Hey, you're in the right state...are you gonna get to go to the Derby?!?!?
