With college football rapidly approaching, I thought this might add to our anticipation.
2005 Season:
Undefeated : 9 games
Points scored: 187
Points Allowed: 31
2 games: defensive shut-outs
Yards rushing: 1,542
Yards passing 78
Total yards : 1,620
Interceptions: 8 (2 returned for touchdowns)
QB sacks: 9
2006 Season:
Undefeated: 8 games
Points scored: 239
Points allowed: 13
6 games: defensive shut-outs
Yards rushing: 1,574
Yards passin 108
Total yards : 1682
Interceptions: 12 (5 returned for touchdowns)
QB sacks: 21
These young men are a breath of fresh air.
By that I mean, you will hear:
“Yes Sir” “Yes Ma’am” “Thank You” “Please” “Excuse Me” . . .
Kudos to them, their parents, and coaches for guiding them
in such a positive way.
“A man can be as great as he wants to be.
If you believe in yourself and have the courage,
the determination, the dedication, the competitive
drive. . . and if you are willing to sacrifice the little
things in life and pay the price for the things
worthwhile, it can be done.”

Tough kids with good manners. Nothing sweeter!

It's so wonderful to run into kids with manners. I was thinking that manners were beginning to be a thing of the past, but then I moved to Central Texas and was I ever surprised. Like you said, "yes Ma'm, thank you, please, etc.,". I don't think I'll ever leave this part of Texas!
I saw you over at Malinda's, btw! Hope you got hubby fed! :)

Go Sooners! Well I'm glad you finally relinquished control, Control Freak! :)

I love that "yes, ma'am" stuff.

They are soooo cute!
My kids WILL say yes ma'am, sir and no ma'am, sir. We don't know it any other way here in the south.
(And ummmm....Go VOLS!)

KARMYN R: Nice young men, those OU Sooners/West...Fun to watch them play football.
GAYLE: Yes, hubby had a nice dinner (supper)...I enjoyed reading your GLOB(s) but can't figure out how to post...yet.
LAW: Actually, I considered using Control Freak for my log-in name, but Controlling-Freaky-Swamp-Witch was just too much to write, so I shortened it.
Go Sooners ! 09-06 7:00 p.m
OU vs. UAB
PAMELA: Yes, so nice to hear the "yes ma'am" coming from the young ones these days.

SILLY HILLY: Globber is driving me nuts...don't know what happened but I was trying to say, "Just that good 'ole Suthun hospitality is right.
(And ummmm Who are the Vols?)

Oh, dear. A sooner. That is what we say here in Nebraska whenever we have to play you guys.
I am um...enjoying your blog anyway! I am a die hard Cornhusker fan in Nebraska. So..trying to show my good manners here too.
But, if someone has to beat us (and I hope no one manages it this season), it is acceptable if it's the Sooners. At least they are a worthy opponent.....:)
Good luck to both of us....

I forgot to add that the little ones grow up so fast, you know? Before you know it, they will be Sooners.

GLOBBER aka: (Blogger) Why oh why do you antagonize me this way. I only hit the "Log in and Publish" once and you published me three times. Why can't I get you to cooperate with me and post my pictures, or put up a link, or publish a story on the correct day?
GLOBBER you are making me crazier.
